The last few weeks have been super-eventful! I recently went live from the fashion week catwalk, took over other brands social media, chilled with models backstage, interviewed some very stylish personalities in London and just blogged about it.

This season I’ve taken a fresh approach and teamed up with my filming buddy Bannie (find out more: @alionawithlove) with a mission to discover what’s really on trend street style-wise.

It was all about hunting for the most eye-catching pieces with individuality. Although before moving on to others, I would like to share what I was actually wore myself.

I’ve paired hologram mermaid stilettos with a matching bag, whilst finishing the look with an Adidas Originals sweatshirt, Miu Miu sunnies and a handful of cool accessories from Smashglam, New Look, Mango, Farfetch and River Island. The highlight of this outfitt would definitely be my self-made denim pieces – jeans and jacket.

I’ve literally cropped and customised my fave plain skinny jeans with rings, eyelets and distressed rips. The originally plain black aviator jacket features studs, poms as well as various statement patches and badges – from Topshop to Boohoo, Stradivarius, KITSCH and Etsy. Read this article to find out how I customised it. I’ve discovered these super cute pom poms at a local craft market.

So, it’s time to summarise all in a few points on particularly what’s going on this season.

I spy loose silhouettes, black-on-black vibes, embroidery and tb to the nineties big time!

Undone, relaxed and loose textures are really hot right now. And the less effort, the better! Within a reasonable limit, of course. Having said that, have you seen Versace this season?

Statement denim and texture clashes and recycled fabrics are currently spotted everywhere!

A special thanks to the talented @bannie2 for the above snaps.
